NOW CASTING BACKGROUND DANCERS

Seeking background talent immediately for the following paid positions. Most of the positions will be local hire, meaning that we will not provide travel. There may be a few featured extra positions for professional adult Lindy Hoppers where travel accommodations would be considered.

ADULT LINDY HOP DANCERS (Herräng, Sweden)

[PAID POSITION] Seeking 80-100 adult Lindy Hop dancers for night shoots on July 27th and July 28th, 2024.

These will be background dance extra roles with the possibility of being upgraded on set to Featured Extra (special role during filming). There will be limited spots available for professional Lindy Hoppers to be hired in advance as Featured Extras. 

TEEN LINDY HOP DANCERS (Herräng, Sweden)

[PAID POSITION] Seeking 30 teen dancers (must look ages 13-18) who will be available from July 27th through August 13th, 2024. They will be needed as both recurring background actors and background dancers throughout the film and will have the opportunity to be featured in a variety of scenes. Hip hop dance experience is a plus.

Accommodations, including meals and housing, will be provided for each child and for a parent to accompany them.

TEEN HIP HOP DANCERS (Western NY)

[PAID POSITION] Seeking teen hip hop dancers (must look ages 13-18) who will be available for a one-day shooting between August 15th and August 31st, 2024 (Exact date to be determined).

This is a one day shoot in the greater Buffalo-Rochester New York area. Dancers will also participate as background actors in non-dance scenes. Accommodations for travel and lodging are not available, but meals will be provided on set.

This form is for DANCERS ONLY and must be accompanied by a video of a sample of your Lindy Hop dancing abilities.

Only dancers available for the shooting dates listed above should apply. For dancers younger than 18, please have a parent fill out this form.
There are a limited number of featured roles for professional dancers, for which we may provide reimbursement of travel costs. (Limited spots, professional adult dancers only)
Shooting is happening in Sweden at the Herräng Dance Camp. Please select which of the following applies:
I am available for night shoots on July 27th and 28th, 2024.

I am available for a 1-day shoot in New York between August 21st and September 2nd 2024 (Exact dates TBD) AND I am available as a local hire for the greater Buffalo-Rochester area.
