Shot on an actual battleship, the USS Salem, “Journal of the Black Atlantic” directed by Amanda Masterson is scheduled for release in the summer of 2013. This trailer gives you an exciting first glimpse.

Story: After leaving the shores of Africa, the captain and on-board doctor discover that their men are dying, one by one, from an extremely aggressive infectious disease. After failing to find a cure, the captain realizes that docking would only allow this new found disease to spread wild throughout the population. So for the good of humanity, the captain decides to sacrifice himself, and what is left of his ill crew.
